My Top 10 Anime List

Hey there, welcome to a new post. Today's topic is kind of funny because it is not related to any concept I have explored in the past. I just want to let you know more about me and what I like, so seeing that the winter season is almost ending and that I have been sick the last few days, turn off the brain and read with me my top 10 anime list.

10 - Pokémon

I know what you think. It does not make any sense to have this anime in this position. And probably you are right. But I refuse to remove Pokémon from the list because when I am bored, Pokémon is my safe place where I always return.

The series are pretty forgivable, I won't lie. However, movies are masterpieces. Mewtwo Strikes Back, Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Pokémon Heroes, Destiny Deoxys, The Rise of Darkrai. Before the remake movies, and excluding a couple of movies, Pokémon is a giant that deserves a position in my list over animes like Steins Gate, Black Clover, Violet Evergarden, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, etc.

9 - Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Two years ago Netflix surprised everyone broadcasting this anime. Its characters, history, original soundtrack, and outstanding animation made this sponsor of 10 episodes of a bad videogame a masterpiece loved by everyone.

8 - Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

Okay, I swear I am not trolling you. I know this anime cannot be in a serious list of best animes, and if we consider I added Pokémon too you may be thinking of leaving this entry and stop wasting your time. But wait, keep reading, I need your visualization to earn money with the ads ;p.

This definitely is my guilty pleasure. I was always fan of sagas like Percy Jackson and Clash of the Titans. Mythology and adventure, the hero's journey to defeat the gods. I really love it, and if we add a nice animation, an awesome soundtrack, and a nice background makes this series one of my favorites.

7 - Code Geass

This is one of the best stories ever created. If you like war, politics, and mechas this is definitely your anime. Lelouch vi Britannia is not only going to conquer the world, but will surely conquer your list of favorite anime as well. This is one of the masterpieces that definitely you must watch.

7 - Your Name

This is one of the best Japanese movies of all the time. Loved by many, hated by many others this movie does not left anyone without an opinion.

I really think it is a masterpiece and one of the reasons why animation can do things that live actions can't. The photography, characters, soundtrack, and exquisite animation makes this movie one of my favorites, and my main recommendation for people that have never seen anime before.

6 - Teasing Master Takagi-san

If you have never seen this anime, you have not right to say this cannot be one of the top 10 animes that have been created.

This series is a sweet treat that makes you want to go back in time in those days when everything was easier. There are truly few things as full of emotions as first love and all that we go through living it, and this series conveys it like no other.

This anime does not have the best animation, soundtrack or plot. It's just hypnotic, nostalgic and a series that I loved and I'm sure I'll continue watch with my children in the future. I love it.

5 - The Dangers in My Heart

And if you want more sweetness, if you continue watching this anime without resting you will end up with diabetes.

This series go from less to more, and more, and more, and never stops to improve. I remember how I hated the first episode, during 3 weeks nothing was wonderful, just a normal romcom. Thanks to its broadcasting day where there weren't anything else to watch, I continued this anime and I won't regret it.

This is definitely the best romantic comedy created in anime and saying it is too much considering rivals like Kaguya Sama, Oregairu, ReLife, or Takagi-san. This couple is just magic and after every episode I just want to have a heart again to love someone like these innocent characters do.

4 - Josee, the Tiger and the Fish

This movie is just another dimension of what can be done with animation. The original soundtrack composed by Evan Call, funny characters, heartbreaking story, and wonderful picture will teach you a new way to live.

This movie as the next one changed my life. Every time I lose my motivation I come back to this movie and remember the importance of dreaming, independence, and love.

3 - I Want to Eat Your Pancreas

This is not only the best anime movie, is the best title. Both striking and somewhat suspicious if an NSA agent finds it in your search history, the title could not be better and after seeing the movie you will understand that this is just another way to say "I love you".

I will be honest. Objectively the movie cannot be the best, but I have too many emotions attached to this movie. The anime it's more than a romance or drama, and you can be sure you will not witness the ingestion of human organs. This anime is about life, and why talking about long or short time when we are talking about life does not make any sense. Our life could end this afternoon or in 70 years, no one knows, and we have to live with this in mind.

2 - Frieren: Beyond Journey's End

What happens if you gather the best producer, director, animator, writer, and musician of the industry and put them in the same team to develop an anime of a rewarded story?

The answer is you get the best anime ever created. It's not just a masterpiece, It is the masterpiece. There has been nothing like this before. Week after week you want to see more. The way time is managed, the characters, flashbacks, everything is balanced in order to create the perfect rollercoaster of emotions that every successful story should develop.

This story is also about time, and how the things you do can go beyond your life time through memories of others. Just watch the first 6 episodes, 2 hours of your life will be enough to make you fall in love.

1 - Your Lie in April

April has never been the same since I watched this anime. Years pass, I watch this series year after year, even twice a year in some occasions. There are few stories that make you fell happy, confused, sad, angry, relaxed, and a lot of other emotions at the same time. This anime goes beyond everything, it's charming and breathtaking, it's my favorite anime ever and have fought season after season against heavy contenders to keep this position.
