DEVLog - July
July DevLog: Scan Documents API, IMG Processing Update, SignatureAPI. Coding, development, and project updates

Hello world!
July reached its end, and we are on the second part of this year! This month was pretty great, the only thing is that there were not too much development on it since it was quite focused on marketing.
Anyway, let's review what I did last month, and see what is coming for this one.
Scan Documents
In the digital age, we need digital documents. Scan Documents is created to digitize your world. Just take a picture of a page, book, or ID and the tool will attempt to restore the image by dewarwing, enhancing, and applying effects to the image, even offline!
After three months building community and gaining some users, I decided to launch on Product Hunt high on expectations. However, the cruel reality push me back way harder than expected, and the launch only got 6 upvotes on the launch day.
Before the launch day, I talked with some people and guaranteed some votes in order to appear on the first places and get votes and reviews of other unknown users. But the plan failed, for some reason many people I contacted didn't collaborate or collaborated too late, only getting 8 votes in total and reaching position #72 of the day.

I was disapointed, but in the end getting more or less votes didn't matter, I just forgot my main objective. To be honest, my public is not in Product Hunt. Product Hunt is a directory made for builders and consumed by builders, so in the end this is more a popularity contest than a serious product evaluation, and that's the reason why I felt so frustrated that day.
But the next days became more interesting after my real plan was successing. My real objective was increasing the domain rating of my product, getting more organic traffic from the web, and more organic users. And both things has increased since the launch.

After one month without users, the number of registered users increased by 20% after the launch, the number of impressions and clicks on Google reached the highs of the last month, and even some users clicked the subscribe button, so they almost converted to customers.
Now then, despite the failure on the launch. The original plan has success and I expect an increase on the number of users the following months as it was with IMG Processing at the end of the last year. I want to thank everyone that supported me and gave me your vote, I promise will continue developing this product to make it worth.
IMG Processing
Moving on to IMG Processing, my API for processing image-related. This month reached a huge achievement: 100 registered users on the platform.

With almost 4 new users per week, this has been also one of the best months in terms of user growth. Every day there are more and more people interested in the API and even subscribing.
Unfortunelly, there is a bad or at least not good news. This month the API also lost a customer. Chuning sucks because it means someone left using your product, but at least it is a new oportunity to learn and continue developing a nice product.

Despite this, the number of customers has increased so IMG Processing right now generates revenue!
On development, the only huge thing to comment is the release of the MCP server to integrate IMG Processing with AI Agents. Here you can see an example to remove background of images.

SignatureAPI
SignatureAPI it the digital signature platform and the startup I'm currently working on.
This month we reached three huge milestones on the number of users registered per month, number of subscribers, and number of envelopes created per day. Unfortunelly, metrics are private and I'm not allowed to share them, but they look good, so good, that I really sorry I cannot share them with you.
The CEO doesn't like the build in public stuff. I really dislike that, but in the end I understand. Transparency could be dangerous with too many competitors. I don't care about competitors, I feel the market is pretty extensive for everyone to fit in, but I don't lead an Startup, I don't have to respond to investors and employees, and definetly my side projects are far away of reaching the potential that this project has. I mean, even if I give you the today's metrics, probably the next quarter they would be 100% higher, that is the potential I'm seeing, and the reason why even disappointed I respect the decision of the chief.
What's Next?
On August this is my plan:
- Scan Documents: Marketing, marketing, and marketing. The product is ready, I need users.
- IMG Processing: I will enhance some internal flows in order to allow the inclusion of teams, and add a free trial on live images.
Let's see what happens in the next DEV Log.
