DEVLog - April
April DevLog: Scan Documents API, IMG Processing Docs updates, Privacy Policy Review Launch. Coding, development, and project updates

Hello again, everyone!
Wow, April just flew by, didn't it? It feels like I just wrote the March update. This past month was mostly about putting my head down and pushing forward on the technical side of things, like APIs and documentation. But, you know how it goes, sometimes a new idea pops up when you least expect it!
It was a good month, lots of coding, lots of thinking, and honestly, some really solid progress. Ready to hear what's been happening? Let's jump in.
Scan Documents API
Remember Scan Documents, the app I built to turn paper piles into nice PDFs? It launched back in March, which was super exciting! Since then, I've been working hard on the next big piece: the API.

What's an API? Think of it like a way for different computer programs to talk to each other. With the Scan Documents API, other developers (or even automated tools) could build scanning features right into their own apps or workflows.

This month, I spent a lot of time building and testing this API. I also put together a dedicated landing page just for it, to explain what it does and how it can help. I'm aiming to release the API by the end of May! Just a few more things to wrap up, mostly final checks and making sure the instructions are crystal clear. At the moment you can check out the documentation and join the waitlist in the new awesome landing page I implemented.

So, keep an eye out for that next month! If you haven't tried the main app yet, feel free to check it out here:
IMG Processing Guides
Next up is IMG Processing, my tool for developers who need to handle images in their apps (like resizing, analyzing, or even reading text from them). Last month, I added a new feature to pull text out of images.
This month, the focus wasn't on new features, but on making the existing ones easier to use. How? By adding more guides to the documentation.

Sometimes, having the tool is only half the battle. You also need good instructions, examples, and maybe some ideas on how you can use it. That's what these new guides are for. My hope is that they make it much simpler for developers to get started and see the possibilities. Every month I plan to add at least two new guides.

Presenting Privacy Policy Review
Alright, so this was a bit unexpected! This past weekend, I actually started a completely new project. It’s called Privacy Policy Review.
What’s the idea? Well, just provide a service to review privacy policies. The thing is most of the people do not require an attorney to review their policies, but there are some subscribed to a certification program that are required to review their policies annually hiring a lawyer that often charges $1000-$2000 per hour on Upwork when the service I created this weekend will do it by a flat rate of $100.
I implemented the MVP, by creating the landing page and adding a Typeform which answers I will process manually at the moment.

SignatureAPI
And of course, there's SignatureAPI, the digital signature platform where I work. April was another month of steady work there. We made good progress on several fronts, continuing to build out features and improve the platform. Nothing major to announce this month, just that solid, consistent effort that goes into growing a service.
What's Coming Next?
So, what does the next month look like?
- Scan Documents: Launch the API! That's the main goal. Final checks, polish the docs, and get it out there.
- IMG Processing: I'll probably keep adding helpful content. Maybe start that email marketing I mentioned last month to let more people know about it.
- Privacy Policy Review: I think is okay at the moment, but perhaps I automatize a little bit more the process.
- SignatureAPI: More building, more improving! The usual cycle.
Let's Keep Building!
And that's the wrap for April! It feels good to see the Scan Documents API getting so close and to have a little spark of a new project too.
As always, thank you so much for reading and following along. I really appreciate you taking the time. Feel free to check out the projects, click the links, and definitely let me know what you think. Your feedback is super valuable!
